Student centered: Sessions are individually focused on the specific need of each student. I put in the research time outside of the hour to find the best ways for the clients to learn, retain and extend their knowledge.
High school transitions: As a former 9th grade teacher and advisor, I understand the struggles faced with entering high school. Whether it is catching up on basic skills or organizing notebooks, easing into the pressures of high school will be smoother with a bit of wisdom and experience.
With over eight years of teaching seniors: advising them on how to deal with their stress, applying for college, balancing their time and writing poignant, stand-out essays, I am the perfect go to for the stressed-out high school senior. Take advantage of my skills to help your child with their college applications, essays and general anxiety during this exciting and hectic period.
Academic advocacy: I will act as an advocate for your child; communicating with their teachers in a language that is meaningful and professional. I’ve had ten years as a teacher dealing with tutors who did not understand the content and did not speak the pedagogical language of a teacher. I will be vigilant in my follow through and make sure there is clear communication between students, teachers, parents and myself.
Management of tools and time: This service is useful at all ages: How to manage time as well as organizing notebooks and binders, reviewing notes and reinforcing skills. This may be a one time session or can be several sessions, depending on each client’s individual needs.
Achievement and
Success: These are the result of hard work, dedication and perseverance. I will NOT do the work for my clients. Instead, I will instill them with skills and INSPIRE clients to draw on said skills to achieve their own continued success!
